Our sites are owned and operated by, or on behalf of, McCain Foods Limited. We recognize that many visitors to our sites are concerned about the personal information they provide to us ("Personal Information"), and how we treat that information. So we've developed a Privacy Policy to address those concerns. We may update the Privacy Policy from time to time, so please check frequently for updates by checking the date of "Last Update" at the top of this document. McCain treats Personal Information in a manner consistent with the policy under which it was collected, unless McCain has your consent to do so differently. The continued use of our sites following the posting of changes to this Privacy Policy will mean you accept those changes.

What Personal Information We Collect

At our sites we don't collect personally identifiable information from individuals unless they provide it to us voluntarily and knowingly. We may collect your Personal Information, such as your e-mail address, name and phone number. in order for you to participate in some programs, sweepstakes or other promotions (the "Services") offered on our sites, and for the Purposes outlined below.

We don't share the information you give us with anyone outside of McCain, except to third party service providers of McCain which have agreed not to use your Personal Information except for specific Purposes, as directed by McCain.

Several portions of our sites are dedicated to brands directed in whole or in part to kids under the age of majority. In communicating with minor children, McCain is especially mindful of the need to protect their personal privacy.

At the present time, we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from kids under 14 on our sites. Good industry practice dictates that websites directed to children under 14 are prohibited from conditioning a child's participation in an activity on the child's disclosing more information than is reasonably necessary. We comply fully with this requirement.

We do, however, permit minor children 14 years of age or older but under the age of majority in their home province to communicate with us by E-mail, enter contests, and register for promotions, newsletters, and other similar items. In doing so your child will be asked to provide parental information confirming your consent for him/her to do so.

If the parent permits a minor child's participation in a contest and the child wins, we contact the parent (not the child) for further personal information needed for any prize delivery.

Deletion of Personal Information

Individuals who provide their personal information to McCain can make a written request for deletion of personal information from our database at any time by sending a letter to 107 Main Street, Florenceville, N.B., E7L 1B2, Attn: Internet Administrator.

McCain may use "cookie" technology to obtain non-personal information from its online visitors. Cookies are information files that your web browser places on your computer when you visit a website. Most browsers accept cookies automatically, but can be configured not to accept them or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. We do not extract personal information in this process nor do we provide this information to third parties. Cookies allow us to customize your user interface to speed up the navigation process and to make the site experience more efficient. We use a temporary session cookie to enable you to use our shopping basket and play some of our games. These temporary cookies are eliminated when you exit your browser.
